Sabbour undertakes new projects in Africa

SABBOUR ASSOCIATES

1 - Feasibility Study of Phase II of rural Development of Forecariah Region - Conakry-Guinea.

This project aims at improving the conditions of production and the revenues of producers through the implementation of the following specific objectives:-

- Reclamation of 4000 hectares in Forecariah.
- Increase productivity of vegetables and fruits.
- Improve production conditions such as storing, marketing, etc.
- Construction of infrastructure needed for education and health services.
- Providing technical assistance for small farmers.

2 - Small Scale Irrigation Development project - Republic of Ghana.

This project aims to increase food security, improve nutrition, boost farmer income, reduce food imports through increased agricultural outputs, increased GDP and contribution to generate employment opportunities.

The overall objective of the project is to increase food production through the development of community based small-scale irrigation. The immediate objective of the study is the production of detailed design reports and supervision of construction for a number of irrigation and water conservation sub-projects covering a total net area of 820 ha.

3 - Construction supervision of Hydro-agriculture Reclamation Project in Ké-Macina Region (Phase II) - Mali.

The objective of this project (2nd Phase) is to supervise the rehabilitation of 3160 ha. In Ké-Macina Region to realise food security for the country.

4 - Social Infrastructure of Ké-Macina Region - Mali

This project aims to secure all the infrastructure related to the rehabilitation works of riziculture areas in Ké-Macina (2nd Phase - 3160 ha).

The construction works of the social infrastructure include:

- Planning of two villages.
- One maternity unit of 100 m2.
- Two furnished schools each containing 6 classrooms (2 x 240 m2).
- Two agriculture stores.
- Execution of 10 km small roads covered by laterite.
- Improvement of the drainage system of Ké-Macina village.
- Execution of 60 fish farms of 15 m2 each.
- Construction of 18 wells with small diameters.
- Electrification of the Ké-Macina village.

5 - Fruits and legumes at Mamou and Kindia, "Agro-Industry Technology"- Conakry - Guinea.

The agricultural development in the regions of Mamou and Kindia is to be attained through the improvement of vegetable and fruit productivity, and providing the infrastructure needed for conservation.

The main objectives of the project include the following:

1. improve and increase productivity as well as assure the best quality of fruit and vegetables.
2. supply vegetables and fruit for the local markets.
3. improve the living conditions of the inhabitants, increase revenues and relieve immigration from rural regions.
4. increase hard currency through exportation of fruit and vegetables.
5. create job opportunities.
